Prada 2011 FALL Collection

Italian fashion house Prada recently showcased their Fall 2011 collection. Judas Priest and Motorhead were amongst the chosen bands that provided a retro rock soundtrack to the runway show. Interestingly for a label that in general terms, actively avoids suede, much of the line-up was created from it. Indeed many bloggers have found the collection to be somewhat of a surprise, consisting mainly of 60’s/70’s style outfits worn by salesmen of the time. Wide cuts are accompanied by large bags along with a number of Prada’s typically rounded-silhouette shoes.

Approximately a month ago, Mike Giant exhibited several new bodies of work at the Guerrero Gallery in San Francisco. In this video he recaps some of the work he’s showcased and created which include some of his signature drawings alongside some lesser seen collage work. The collage work offers a look into Giant’s past as the visuals are complimented by his own notes and commentary. The show also included work from Adam 5100 and Even Keel.
